I haven't used C for close to ten years, so unfortunately, I can't be
of much help. I think the best thing to do is to look at what Hisham
does with the rest of Kepler.

So, I don't know what's the best for LuaSVN in general, but for
Sputnik (and probably Kepler), I don't think it's important that the
libraries could be moved after being compiled. I.e., if I can run a
build script passing it my "kepler" prefix (e.g.,
/home/yuri/tmp/sputnik/) and it compiles apr, subversion, luasvn into
where it needs to be (somewhere under /home/yuri/tmp/kepler/ but I
don't really care where exactly), I am not going to need to move it.

> Another problem, I did not test this using other systems, like BSD.

Well, right now we are on Ubuntu-only, so all of Linux would be a step
up already. We can worry about BSD next - once there is someone who
is willing to try it on BSD.

This, or a table of properties, or just the object which would have
the properties in it.
