I'm really grateful for all the help.  I will try all those things.

It will be very exciting to see the iuplua51.exe (IupLua Console) binary for
iup3 if/when it is posted on LuaForge.  That is one of my favorite
applications of all time.  I hope you guys get a chance to put up a
prerelease version, in any shape, for userland to play with.
